Lady Gertrude Dainty Paws Attention class!

This seminar module is all about Cat Hearing, how and what we cats hear. Sometimes, you think we're crazy because we hear things you can't and react to them. We're just very sensitive. You can learn WHY our ears are so special in your FDA. Your FDA (Feline Digital Analyzer) is below and Eddie Cat will explain how to use it.

I think there may be a quiz on this coming up. It depends on my nap time (yawn).

Extra Credit Tips:

  1. Cats can focus their ears independently.

  2. Cats use their ears to express emotion: up and perky means "I'm interested", down and flat means: "I'm angry!"

  3. When a cat lays her ears back, it does not necessarily mean she's angry. She may be focusing on a sound behind her.

  4. A cat can hear even the slightest whisper, but may not respond is not interested.

  5. Cats can and do listen to music and the sound of a TV.

  6. Cats can get waxy build up and infections in their ears. A regular check up at the Vet will keep a cat's ears in top condition.
