Synchronized Sleeping! (A potential Olympic event)

When Gert and Eddie arrived, they were very, very close. Perhaps that is because the home was new to them, and they drew some strength and courage from each other in this strange place. So, they did everything together. Including sleeping, as this little animation demonstrates. They don't sleep together like this anymore. As one would expect, as these two grow, they are developing independence. They're still best buddies, and partners in crime, have no fear about that! Now, usually, Gertie sleeps on the top of the sofa, where Clyde used to sleep in winter, and Eddie sleeps on top of Clyde Chair, where Clyde used to sleep when he wasn't sleeping on the sofa. Can you guess which one is which? Here's a hint, Eddie has a little white mark on the left side of his nose, and Gertie has a white tip on her tail. Eddie is generally lighter in color (depending on the light, his coat changes color intensity, like a chameleon's), and has more spots on his coat. He didn't get them from being a sloppy eater, they grew there! They both have those big ears, and beautiful white shirt fronts, as well as "mittens" on their paws. Don't they look so sweet and innocent? The white pad they are sleeping on is called a "Purr Pad". Perhaps you have seen this in a pet store? It's supposed to make them feel calm and secure. Shortly after these pictures were taken, they tore it to shreds. Appearances can be so deceiving. Maybe they should make "valium pads". Touch my nose, and I'll take you back to our home page.
