Clyde likes to eat dry cat food, with a bowl of water on the side. This is supposed to be good for his teeth and his urinary tract. If Clyde is given soft, canned food, he licks off all the sauce and then walks away, indifferent. Sometimes, he's also indifferent to his dry food. Until he gets hungry.
