Memorial to Henry Von Tudor
![]()
ClydeSight2.0! mourns the passing of a dear friend,
Henry Von Tudor.Henry was Grand Master of the Back Fence Cat Club and Clyde's best friend on the Internet. He was one of the first cats to meow to Clyde across Cyberspace, one of Clyde's strongest supporters, and a great source of inspiration.
When Clyde began work on his epic, "The Idiocy and the Oddity", a very difficult role for the Ruler of Bfcconia came up. There was only one cat who could manage the nobility of the role, who could carry of the heroic stature necessary for the part, and that was dear Henry.
Henry sponsored Clyde into MEWSA, the society for those cats whose intelligence is so high that it is immeasurable. Clyde was so honored to be considered for membership in this most exclusive society.
Clyde had many adventures with Henry and the Back Fence Cat Club. Henry invited him to help develop the infamous Back Fence Cat Club Teleporter, a scientific breakthrough in stressless cat transportation. With Henry's inspiration and guidance, Clyde developed a technology that is beyond modern manufacturing ability to create.
Henry was one of the first to purchase Clyde Catette, and often listened to it and played it for his little sister Freya. He wrote an outstanding review.
When Clyde crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Henry wrote an eloquent eulogy at his passing.
Henry was an inspiration, the picture of nobility and all that is dignified in a cat. He knew the value of sitting in the bathroom sink, something that only the most discerning of cats ever know.
"A cat who knows other cats is discerning;
the cat who knows himself is intelligent.
A cat who overcomes others is strong;
but one who overcomes himself is mighty.
The cat who is satisfied with his lot is rich;
he who goes on acting with energy has a firm will."--Misquoted from the Teachings of Lao Tzu
(borrowed from the Tao of Meow)With the passing of Henry Von Tudor, we feel that an era has closed its doors. So many of the wise ones are now gone; Clyde, Midnight, Shannon, Queen Claudie, and now Henry Von Tudor. They were all there at the beginning, when the Internet was new, and plug-ins never worked. Now, the plug-ins work, but the wise ones have moved on, leaving their inspiration and works as their only legacy.
Let us remember them always in our hearts, these dearly departed, and treasure the lessons they taught us. Let us pass them on to the young ones struggling to fill their paw prints.
Let us always, as Sir Triffan Gentlecat so brilliantly said:
"Keep the Memory Alive"
