The Memorial at CLAW

A memorial service originally posted at the CLAW Theater in honor of Clyde.

Letters from Clyde's Friends - Page 4

We sing this song for beloved Clyde Big Paws. We cats know it as "A Shining Place." Your humans will know this as "Amazing Grace".

A shining place for me to go,
When my nine lives are gone.
They'll welcome me with open paws,
And say, "O cat, well done!"

Cats have been here ten thousand years,
Long before man was born,
And we'll be here until that cat,
Gabriel blows on his horn.

The hands that held me night and day,
I shall so sorely miss.
I still can see her standing there,
And feel her warm last kiss.

When every cat shall be called home,
On that bright glorious day,
We'll all join in and purr along,
And climb heaven's gold stairway.

A shining place for me to go,
When my nine lives are gone.
They'll welcome me with open paws,
And say, "O cat, well done!"

Please accept our condolences.

Respectfully,
Mr. Lucky & Gwenipurr

Meoww mew mew all:
This is the first time I have been to a memorial service. Although I didn't know Clyde Big Paws personally, a talented loving feline lost to our world is just that a big loss. I being new to the Claw Club had my first experience at the lovely concert of his talented composition and mewsicionship. He is a great loss to our world and I hope his Human finds some comfort in the fact that Clyde was loved even among those of us who never knew him. Peace and easy passage.
Pluto
and human Jake.

I didn't meet Clyde before, because I'm a new one on the Kittynet community. But I was very touched to read his story.

I hope he will be happy on the over side of the Bridge and I know he'll stay in the heart of all his "net" friends.

Chazot
